1. Accessing Gatsby Benchmarks in Morrisby Manager

  • Log in to Morrisby Manager.

  • Go to the ‘Students’ area.

  • Click on the ‘Gatsby Benchmarks’ tab.

2. Understanding the Gatsby Benchmarks View

  • You’ll see a list of students displayed in rows.

  • Across the top are the eight Gatsby Benchmark columns.

  • Each student’s alignment to a benchmark is shown using coloured blocks:

    • Red: Student is far from meeting the benchmark (common in lower years).

    • Yellow/Green: Student is making progress.

    • Blue: Benchmark completed.

  • Use this overview to:

    • Identify gaps in provision.

    • Plan future career activities based on need.

3. Track Student Engagement with Career Activities

  • The ‘Total Provision’ column shows the number of hours each student has spent on career-related activities.

  • This helps assess how active each student has been in engaging with career development.

4. Using the ‘Essential Skills’ Tab

  • Go to the ‘Essential Skills’ tab to view student progress in Skills Builder.

  • Each of the eight essential skills is shown across the top.

  • Within each coloured block is a number representing the highest Skills Builder step reached by the student for that skill.

  • The ‘Provision’ column shows the number of hours spent developing these skills.

5. Filtering and Sorting Your View

  • Use the following tools to customise your display:

    • Search box – Find specific students.

    • Select group – Filter by group or class.

    • Filters – Narrow down your dataset.

    • Column sorting – Sort by skill step level, provision hours, etc.

6. Final Notes

  • Use the colour-coded visuals and progress indicators to guide your career and skills development planning.

  • Regularly monitor student progress to ensure benchmarks and skill targets are being met.
