A student has forgotten their login/password

There are four ways to help your students access their accounts: 

  1. If the student knows the email address that they used to sign up
  2. Sending a password Rest link from Morrisby Manager 
  3. Creating a recovery code for a single student
  4. Creating recovery codes for multiple students


1. If the student knows the email address that they used to sign up

If the student knows the email address they used to register, they can retrieve their password using the 'Forgotten your login?' link on the login screen at www.morrisby.com.

2. Sending a password reset link from Morrisby Manager

  • Log in to your Morrisby Manager account
  • Select the 'Students' tab, and locate the individual who has forgotten their login
  • Click the tick box next to their name
  • Click on 'Actions' and select 'Send Password Reset Email'
  • Click 'Send' on the confirmation box

3. Creating a recovery code for a single student

Alternatively, you can give them an Account Recovery Code to allow them immediate access to their account:

Log in to your Morrisby Manager account

  • Select the 'Students' tab, and locate the individual who has forgotten their login details
  • Click their name to view the student summary
  • Click on 'Actions' and 'Create recovery code'
  • Click on 'Generate' on the confirmation box
  • A 10-character code will be displayed on the student summary - provide this to the individual

  • The student should select 'Log In' on www.morrisby.com and then enter the code on the 'Forgotten Login' tab, make sure to leave the 'Username/Email' field empty

4. Creating recovery codes for multiple students

If required, you can also create multiple recovery codes for a group of students, downloadable as a CSV file.

  • Log in to your Morrisby Manager account
  • Select the 'Students' tab, and select the group of candidates you need
  • Click 'Actions' at the top right of the screen
  • On the menu that appears, select 'Create Recovery Codes'
  • With your candidates still selected, click 'Actions', then select 'Downloads' in the menu
  • Select 'Student Details' in the box that appears, then 'Download'              

  • A CSV file will then be created
  • Unique Recovery Codes are shown for each candidate with expiry dates, as shown in the example below
  • Recovery Codes will expire after 14 days
  • Should a candidate remember their login details, they will still be able to log in normally, despite the recovery code being created
