Finding your own placement
To make this experience as meaningful as possible, you are expected to take responsibility for finding your own placement. This might be:

- A local company or organisation linked to your interests.
- An employer in an area you may want to explore as a future career.
We encourage you to start looking early and approach employers politely and professionally.
What you need to do
- Secure a placement – contact employers and confirm they are willing to host you during the set week.
- Collect the information needed to add to Morrisby – see the Morrisby form attached for more information of what we expect you to gather.
- Record the details – once you have a placement agreed, log into Morrisby’s Work Experience system and enter the employer information and other information required. Be careful to enter this information correctly as the email will be sent straight away to the Employer
- Submit for approval – Morrisby will then send the details to your employer for review and confirmation.
- Parent Consent - The Form will then be sent to your parent for their approval automatically.
- Select carefully – choose a placement that will give you opportunities to learn, grow, and match your interests or goals.
We encourage you to talk to your family for support and guidance throughout this process.
