Before launching the work experience with your students, make sure to update your custom messages in Morrisby Manager > Settings Cog > Work Experience.


For Students

Before you submit your work experience details, please read the information below carefully.


Placement dates

Year 10: Monday 11th May to Friday 15 May

Year 12: Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July

You must ensure that your placement can fully support you for the correct dates for your year group.


Submission deadline

All placement details must be submitted by 20 February 2026.

Late submissions may not be approved and could result in you needing to find an alternative arrangement.


Attendance and conduct

Work experience is treated as a normal school week. You are expected to attend every day, arrive on time, and behave professionally.

You must follow all workplace rules, including health and safety guidance, dress code, and confidentiality requirements.


Absence

If you are unable to attend due to illness or another valid reason, you must:

Follow the school attendance procedures as usual, and

Inform your employer as soon as possible on the same day.


Important reminders

Make sure all employer contact details are accurate before submitting.

Speak to the employer in advance to confirm hours, location, and any special requirements.


For Employers

Information for Employers


Thank you for hosting a student for a work experience placement as part of our school programme.


Students must attend the full placement.

Any absences must be reported to the school immediately: 01234 567 890

Safeguarding policies must be followed at all times, alongside our school safeguarding policy:

Relevant health and safety workplace policies should be explained to the student on their first day.

For Parents/Guardians

  • Check the placement details and let the school know straight away if anything looks incorrect
  • Talk through travel arrangements with your child, including how they will get to and from the placement each day
  • If your child is unwell or unable to attend, please follow the normal school attendance procedure and also let the employer know as soon as possible on the same day
  • Work experience is treated as a normal school week. Your child is expected to attend every day, arrive on time, and follow the employer's workplace rules
